How to Handle Urban Wildlife

Following the increased number of wildlife moving into the urban and suburban areas in Wisconsin, DNR offers to help people in keeping wild animals safe. DNR wildlife biologist Dianne Robinson shares the following tips.

  • Avoid feeding human food to birds and other animals as this may cause spread of disease.
  • Plant natural food including bushes and cover crops so as not to attract animals.
  • Avoid negative interactions with wild animals.
