Dealing with Wildlife in a Humane Way

The Association for the Protection of Fur-Bearing Animals is an organization that provides ways to educate the public on how to deal with conflict with wildlife in a humane way.

If you are someone who has come across some wild animals in your own home, there’s plenty of information on the organization’s website about how to deal with these wildlife destroying gardens and houses.

  • Do not feed wildlife as this will show the animals that humans are a valid food source.
  • Keep pet food indoors to avoid attracting wildlife to your property.
  • Keep an eye on your dog when it is outside of your house.
  • Make sure that garbage and compost are inaccessible to scavenging animals.
