Keeping Mice and Rats Out of Your Property

Rodents do not only cause damage to your property; they also lead to the spread of diseases, such as rat bite fever, salmonella, foot-and-mouth disease, and even rabies.

Droppings are the first signs that mice or rats are settling in. They enter through the smallest cracks and holes in your house and use outdoor debris as cover. If you’re looking into preventing an infestation, you should get rid of these cracks, debris and other elements that attract or give them easy access.

How you deal with rats or mice in your home depend on how long they have been in your property. If it is a recent infestation, preventing entry and using spring traps usually work. However, if you suspect that the rodents have been there for a while, you should consider calling a professional.
