Canoodling with wild animals that wander off into your property is never a good idea. In Florida, for instance, nine people have come down with Hansen’s disease or leprosy after coming into contact with nine-banded armadillos.
In other areas, Arizona’s prairie dogs were tested positive for bubonic plague, while Australia’s koalas are facing a chlamydia breakout.
