How to Prevent Hitting an Animal When Driving

As nights get longer and temperatures start to drop, chances of hitting wildlife when driving increase. Apart from slowing down or driving at a reasonable speed, there are still other things you can do.

  • Be very careful especially when driving during dawn and dusk.
  • Lower your dashboard lights.
  • Keep in mind that other animals may follow after one animal crosses the road.
  • Do not throw your trash outside the car.
  • Slow down when you see yellow animal-crossing signs.
